Arts Council Napa Valley Announces 2009 Open Studios Artist Exhibition at the River Festival in Downtown Napa

September 1st, 2009. Napa Valley, CA

Arts Council Napa Valley's Open Studios artists will be exhibiting at the downtown Napa River Festival on Sunday, September 7th, from 4 - 8 PM. The exhibition is an opportunity to meet 15 of the talented participating artists, preview and purchase their work, and plan your personal Open Studios tour. Arts Council Napa Valley is also sponsoring a Children's Art Booth for children of all ages. The River Festival features the Napa Valley Symphony, the Napa High School Marching band, Napa's most exciting fireworks display, along with a traditional Main Street celebration offering great food, wine, and other beverages for purchase.

About Open Studios:

Arts Council Napa Valley’s Open Studios is a free, self-guided fine art discovery tour that runs during the last two weekends of September. The 2009 Open Studios Honorary Co-Chairs, Eleanor Coppola and Kathryn Hall, invite patrons to experience this year’s tour, featuring 88 of the finest artists and craftspeople in the Napa Valley. Whether you're an avid collector or just curious about art, Open Studios is an incredible opportunity to peer into the creative spaces of Napa Valley painters, metal and stone sculptors, mosaicists, photographers, ceramists, printmakers, fiber artists, jewelry makers, glass artists and other fine craftspeople, and to buy local art right from the source. Open Studios runs during the last two weekends in September, the 19th & 20th and 26th & 27th. The Open Studios Exhibition runs at Mumm Napa from August 28th to September 10th. The Closing Celebration will be hosted by HALL Winery, 401 St Helena Hwy South, on September 27th from 5-7 PM.
