He has completed a number of painting seminars including Scottsdale Artists’ School, artists’ workshops on Monhegan Island, ME, and The International School in Umbria, Italy. His instructors have included Jacqueline Kamin, Randall Sexton, Joseph Lorusso, Armand Cabrerra, Caleb Stone, Alan Feltus and Lani Irwin, and most recently Terry Miura. He has also been in group shows in the San Francisco Bay area and in the 2009 Plein Aire show at the Napa Valley Museum.
"I seek out the best spots to paint where the light, color and emotion of the subject feeds my inner soul. I also enjoy painting the figure, both from models and from pictures and became very interested in the intensity and body lines of flamenco dancers after having seen a live performance of our Bay Area treasure, Yaelisa. I have a large library of books on artists and art history and especially enjoy the French and Italian artists of the 19th and 20th centuries in which my family’s heritage is rooted."
