SANDRA "SKO" OGLE, BIO

Sandra had long been dabbling in the arts when she discovered that photography was the method by which she could truly capture her vision. Her own self-teachings were enhanced by various knowledgeable teachers. She earned a Photographic Degree from N.V. College.

Since 2003, she and partner, Dana A. Lyon, have owned and operated Studio II Gallery - Napa Valley, located in Napa. The gallery specializes in photography, though other media are always on exhibit, as well. Multi artist exhibits, workshops, and nationwide contests are managed and curated by the partners. Their goal is to provide an exhibition venue for local, regional, and nationally known artists.

When time is available, they make their own art.

Regarding the series, THE DARK (A PHOTO ESSAY): The vagaries of a serious illness produced a maelstrom of emotions within the artist. Even after wellness returned, the emotions were clearly recalled. They were her reality of the time.

According to the photographer, an important part of being an artist is sharing your images. Despite the difficulty in sharing such a personal view, these photographs from "THE DARK" have generated great interest wherever shown. People respond with feelings of their own.
